Early intervention in the lives of vulnerable children is of the utmost importance in order to ensure well adapted adults who can actively contribute to our future. We consider schools to be a very important partner in this process. We are searching for educational partners who will assist us to ensure the correct intervention for children who have learning difficulties or behavioural problems. We also need assistance on ground level with facilities for our reading project, as well as books and volunteers.
BADISA Tygerberg currently has an agreement in place with the primary schools of Uitsig and Ravensmead to involve the Grade 7 learners in life skills programmes. These programmes equip the children with skills that enable them to assert themselves in difficult situations and to make healthy choices.
